About Me
45 years ago, my grandfather gifted me my first camera. A fully manual 35mm film SLR with a single lens. I was 12. Quickly progressing to developing my own black and white prints offered more opportunities to learn from mistakes made before pressing that shutter release.
Today, I work with diverse clients and am extremely fortunate to own the latest, high-tech kit and studio setup. It’s no substitute for the eye that 12 year old me started to develop. The “eye” sees stories and people through imagery. The kit ensures quality, consistency and a fast workflow. In concert, they enable me to deliver exceptional and timely solutions for my clients.

FAQs
Studio & Location shoots
Where is the studio?
The studio is in Horsham, West Sussex. If that’s not convenient, I can bring a mobile studio setup to your preferred location. This is usually a better option for business headshots with multiple team members.
First-time?
You're in great company—most of my clients feel exactly the same way at the start! My goal is to make this a relaxed, enjoyable experience where you leave feeling confident and looking your best. No awkward silences or guessing—we chat first, then I guide you through every pose and expression.
What does the process look like?
Arrival & quick touch-ups (bring your grooming kit!).
10-15 minute relaxed chat to understand your goals and vibe.
Guided posing—I'll direct every angle, expression, and adjustment (no "just stand there").
Shooting (typically 15-45 minutes, with outfit changes if you bring options).
Quick on-screen review to ensure we capture what you need.
Sessions are kept fun and low-pressure; we take breaks if needed, and laughter is encouraged!"
Relax—final edited images delivered within 5 business days.
What should I wear for my shoot?
Business headshots:
Clothing Do's & Don'ts:
Do: Solid colours (navy, charcoal, rich jewel tones like emerald or burgundy work great); well-fitted.
Don't: Busy patterns, loud logos, shiny fabrics (they reflect light oddly), or very low-cut/necklines that distract.
Pro tip: Bring 2-3 tops (jacket + shirt combos for variety); iron/steam them ahead.
Grooming: See below section
Props: a branded notebook for creatives, a stethoscope for doctors, or just your favourite watch or pen.
Athletes:
Bring at least one outfit. Team kit, training kit etc.
Props: Any sport-specific items such as (ball/helmet/bat etc). A towel is useful too. I have a small gym at the studio to warm up or pump up mid shoot.
Teams, bring the team kit for all plus any specific props.
Grooming Tips
Get a fresh haircut 1-2 weeks before (not the day of)
Moisturise skin
Get good sleep the night before (helps with under-eye brightness)
Hydrate well/avoid salty foods previous day.
If doing your own makeup/hair: Go natural-enhanced (matte finishes to avoid shine under lights); bring powder for touch-ups.
I’ve never had a photo shoot. How should I pose?
You do not need to worry about this. Over 90% of people have never been to a studio before so you are not alone. It is my job to find out what you want to achieve and help guide you to that aim. So, I'll direct every angle, expression, and adjustment (no "just stand there"). I’ll guide you the entire way. I promise, we will have a relaxed time and work together to get the results you want.
Can I get prints for my wall?
Yes. I print at the studio location.
Events
How far do you travel?
I have covered events all over the UK, Europe and beyond.
Can you provide multiple photographers?
Yes. I can provide single or multi-person teams to suit.
Do you provide video or content?
The short answer is yes. Get in touch for a no-obligation chat to explore how I can make your project a reality.
What’s the process?
Each project is unique. The best place to start is for us to have a chat about your requirements. I’m happy to take direction or offer suggestions if you’re unsure.
